The story of bark and bumble began when i had my daughter, Ada. I realised my life needed a meaningful change – I could no longer balance the demands of a full-time career while being fully present in Ada’s life.
I aspired to find a more harmonious balance between work and family life, one that allowed me to create at my own pace and enjoy the simple, wholesome moments with my partner, our daughter, and our dog, Jimmy.
That aspiration led to the creation of Bark & Bumble…
‘Bark’ represents my loyal companion, Jimmy, while ‘Bumble’ holds a special meaning as the affectionate nickname given to Ada by her Nanna: Ada Bumblebee. Together, they symbolise a blend of the natural world and the personal connections that inspire everything I create.
From a young age, I’ve been passionate about sustainability and have always embraced a natural, holistic approach to life. In recent years, I’ve been on a personal journey to gently detox my home and lifestyle from harsh chemicals and toxins – a path I’m still on and one that continues to evolve alongside this website.
Bark & Bumble grew from a simple wish to live more gently – for myself, my family, and the planet. Every product is made with that same intention: to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the beauty in life’s smaller moments.
